The tower has a U-shaped floor plan; including the parapet, it is 460 cm high and 500 cm wide. Access is via a staircase attached to the side; there is no interior (filled in, no access). The tower is maintained by the Schwarzwaldverein. At the top in the middle of the tower, there is a round metal plaque acting as a signpost, indicating what is located where.
