Between Lübben and Schlepzig you cycle wonderfully along the ponds on the Gurkenradweg. Each position allows a new, admirable view of the peaceful, idyllic pond landscape. Since 2020 you can also cross the Spree at the Hartmannsdorfer weir. However, it is worth discovering all the ponds.

22 fish ponds stretch along the main Spree between Lübben and Schlepzig. They are a habitat, feeding area and resting place for many water and raptor species. Binoculars and a bit of time to observe will help to discover the diversity.
