The City Park (Hungarian Városliget) is located in the XIV. District of the Hungarian capital Budapest. Created in 1817 by Lübeck landscape gardener Christian Heinrich Nebbien (1778-1841), the park is a popular recreational area. It covers an area of 1.2 km² and was once a marshy hilly landscape. The southwestern entrance to the park is Heroes' Square at the end of Andrássy út. In the northern part, the city forest is crossed by the promenade Kós Károly sétány, which has been cleared for traffic.
