Mountaineering
One of the most spectacular hiking trails in the Harz. The Schurre is ideally suited as a circular route in connection with the Presidential Path as an ascent to the Roßtrappe.

Mountaineering
An almost alpine ascent - but well-paved in many parts. 'Via ferrata' is a bit of an exaggeration, but you do need to be a little sure-footed and, above all, be careful not to dislodge any stones that could then hit hikers on the path below or in the Bode Valley. A real treat for anyone who feels comfortable on steeper terrain and scree.

Mountaineering
The Schurre was completely closed until 2021. After a rockfall in May 2010, the Schurre could not be traversed for a full eleven years, until it was finally repaired.
