Culzean Castle is a stunning fortification perched on the Ayrshire cliffs, overlooking the Firth of Clyde. The castle was built in stages between 1777 and 1792 on the order of the 10th Earl of Cassilis. The breathtaking cliff-top masterpiece rises above woods, beaches, secret follies, parks and gardens. The castle is in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. For more information, visit: nts.org.uk/visit/places/culzean.

This pleasant journey typically takes around 1 hour and 58 minutes to complete, offering a diverse landscape of woodlands, formal gardens, and coastal paths. You can expect to wander through quiet glens, past vibrant flower displays in the gardens, and along sandy beaches and rocky shores.

Culzean Country Park is a popular destination, especially for families, so consider visiting during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter experience. The park offers amenities like play areas, cafes, and gift shops, making it easy to extend your visit. While some trails within the park are fully accessible, it is always wise to check specific path conditions if you have particular accessibility needs.
