Well worth it if you leave the beaches of La Grande Motte behind and drive a little towards Carnon. The natural sandy beach is mostly empty and has less Mallorca sardine feeling.

And if you go further, between Palavas les-Flots and Frontignan is a kilometer-long, unspoilt natural sandy beach. Partly with bike path, but I walked along the beach. Of course, I do not know how it is in midsummer, but I was there last week and it was sensationally beautiful.
