Gmünd City Wall & Towers
Six of the original 24 city towers are still completely preserved in Schwäbisch Gmünd. In addition, parts of the city wall, which date from before 1350, are still preserved. The Rinderbacher Torturm, for example, is a testament to the siege of the city during the Schmalkaldic War in 1546.

The outer fortification ring had a total of 24 towers and half-towers. Six towers remained standing.
