Hiking
The former moated castle Pöschwitz was built around 1227 under Marquardus de Besvvitz and renovated in 1580. Around 1844 - 1849 two side wings were added. Between 1945 and 1990 it was used as a forestry office and educational facility. Currently, some parts of the castle have been restored and are used as apartments, other parts of the Pöschwitz Castle are unused and left to decay.

On September 24, 1227, the village was first mentioned. A fortification in the village was already mentioned in 1181 and 1214. In the village there is a manor with a manor house and outbuildings from around 1227, built as a moated castle by Marquardus de Besvviz. It was fundamentally renovated and expanded in 1580 and is today the largest estate in town.
