Hiking

The geological outcrop is located in the hollow core of the Dollendorfer Mulde. The layers (hollow dolomite) of the Middle Devonian period slope parallel to the south-east and have been cut by the Lampertsbach. Due to different rock hardness and a pronounced cross ventilation, dolomite blocks are eroded and slide down dolomite marl stones following the force of gravity. (Information board on site)
