Beautiful spot to view the west face of Mount Hood, Mississippi Head and the Zigzag Glacier from above. In the spring, the open meadows bloom with mariposa, lupine, partridge-foot, and knotweed. Two plaques on the rock honor William P. Hardesty and Charles H. Sholes who were both past presidents of the Mazamas. An annual Mazamas award, the Hardesty Cup, is given to trail leaders.
