Avoid this like the plague, even in summer and even if travelling northbound. It's tantamount to a stream bed, so is always wet and combining that with the fact it's under cover, if you go in here you're entering a world of pain.

Sadly I have to concur with @Will Jones. There's a huge rut down the middle made by motorbikes and a fallen tree that almost blocks the path. Don't bother.
