The parish is a specimen of Lombard Romanesque style in the area of Valdelsa. In an inscription on the portal lintel 'Magister Bonserii, vir probus ex gente lombarda' (Master Bonserii, a upright man from the Lombard people) is attested the Lombard origin and there is writter the date 1165. It has a single nave with an apse and wooden covering. The Lombard elements are: the portal projecting on the facade, surmounted by a window with two lights and the decoration of external encircling with small arches interwoven, whic, in the apse, are supported by small thin columns.
