Hiking

The Hahnheider Forest is very extensive. It is great to hike on beautifully landscaped paths or across the field on narrow trails. The area is a mixed forest, hilly and also has small ponds. The paths / paths meander back and forth up and down, so that it never gets boring. A highlight is of course the ascent to the tower, from which one has an amazing view of the surrounding landscape. We could even see the Hamburg TV tower and the harbor cranes :-)

Hiking

This is how we like it: paths that are narrow, winding and hardly used. This is one of those. There is a ford, sections that are barely noticeable and some that have pretty deep puddles after rain - but that's how fun being outside!
