Between 1936 and 1950 the municipalities of Flemsdorf, Ettelwitz, Schladitz, Grebehna and Grabschütz were incorporated into Zwochau. The latter site fell victim to open-cast lignite mining in 1985. In 2013, Zwochau, Neukyhna and Wiedemar merged to form the single community of Wiedemar.
