A pyramid in the Weser Uplands - somewhat unexpected at this point. Erected in 1855 by Georg Laves as a burial place for the von Klencke family.

Hiking

A landscape park with exotic trees was created above the castle in the 19th century. At the end of the park is a pyramid that Georg Laves built in 1855 as the burial place of the von Klencke family. It was used until 1942 and is empty today.

A mausoleum with a pyramid has been located in the garden since 1855. The mausoleum was designed by the architect Laves from Hanover, who built it during the Romantic period. The pyramid is modeled after the Egyptian pyramids of Giza.
