Men of Steel. By Graeme Hopper and shows steel men pushing boulders of coal uphill in homage to the generations of miners who worked at Wearmouth Colliery where the Stadium of Light now stands. This is accessible through the car park at this point, but is largely invisible from the lower footpath as the trees are overgrown
