Cemetery of Russian army soldiers fighting in the winter battle of Rawka. The battle was to divert the Russians' attention from East Prussia, where a major winter offensive was being prepared. As a result of the fighting at Bolimów, the losses of the Russian army reached 40,000 men (killed, wounded, missing). This is the equivalent of 10 Russian regiments.
