This viewpoint is located in the municipality of Monte, on the site where a monument to the Blessed Virgin, “Nossa Senhora da Paz”, was erected to honor a promise made by the Madeiran people during the bombing of the city of Funchal in 1917 by German submarines to redeem. In addition to the sculptural work of art, you can enjoy the beautiful view over the Bay of Funchal.
