The mountain is called Juchtas and the peak with the church Afendis Christos. On the Psili Korfi, the highest peak of the Juchtas mountain, you can find the remains of a Minoan mountain sanctuary.

Hiking

The Afendis Christos (second highest peak on the Juchtas) with the church of the same name is a nice excursion destination. The view over half of Crete is impressive. Unfortunately, the many transmission masts again spoil the overall impression. And since you can drive almost up to the top by car, you are rarely alone here.
