Quick and easy way to get on the gymnast. Little traffic and nice viewpoints. Even better suited for racing cyclists, as the road from Wagensteig to Turner is tarred.

Road cycling

There are three ways to get up; depending on the route to Spirzen or St.Märgen. Above the Sprizenstraße (K4907), named after the highlight, but which according to the photos is the Steigweg, you end up at the top of Spirzen near the Schweighöfen. Both, the Spirzenstraße as well as the Steigweg, thus lead to Spirzen, with the significantly steeper Steigweg compared to the Spirzenstraße. The third possibility to get up is the Wagensteigstraße, located on the L128, a flatter route through the Wagensteigtal up to the village of St. Märgen, which is about 900 m high.
