The scenically very impressive Friedberg via ferrata in the Tannheim mountains is a popular "test tour" to climb the Rote Flüh in a more exposed way. The climb is usually made from the Schartschrofen - you climb the difficult part on the descent, the opposite direction from the Gimpelhaus is also very popular. From the summit you have a great view of the Haldensee and the Gimpel, which is right next to it.

Cool way to the summit! However, not recommended without a helmet and for those who are not extremely confident, it is better to use a climbing harness and via ferrata set.
