The murder stone from 1423 stands near the churchyard wall. It is a tall, rectangular stone with a Greek cross and Gothic minuscules. Medieval Atonement. Murder cheek made of Gotlandic shell limestone. In translation, the minuscule inscription reads: "In 1423, Hinamin von Ramin was killed by the farmers in Wartin." The legend tells that the nobleman Hinrik von Ramin raped a woman from Sommersdorf and was subsequently persecuted by farmers from the village. He tried to ask the church for asylum, but could not make it over the cemetery wall and was killed by the farmers. Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sommersdorf_(Penkun)
