Cycling

The ruins of the Gutenberg hilltop castle rise picturesquely between grapevines. The castle was first mentioned in 1213, in the meantime belonged to the Sponheimers, but gradually lost its importance. Like so many other historic buildings, it was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War. Today the ruin is privately owned.
