Here you see the restored Ludowici ball house, The ball house is made of metal (diameter 4,50m) and intended as emergency accommodation, which can be transported by truck, boat or helicopter to any desired location. Invented by Johann Wilhelm Ludowici (1896 - 1983) in the 1950s The idea caused a sensation around the world but was never produced in series. One copy was restored by the Förderverein Ziegeleimuseum in 2002. (Source: Rhein-Neckar-Industriekultur e.V.)
