The 36 meter high Kirchberg water tower was put into operation on August 1, 1900. Due to the construction of a pressure boosting system, the tower became superfluous for the city in 2000 and was then sold to private hands.
Today the tower houses a post office - matching the color.
The unmistakable tower can be seen from afar and is the symbol of the city with the two church towers.
