    Hiking

In Little Venice, the Regent's Canal meets the Grand Union Canal. Dozens of Narrowboats line this basin surrounded by willow trees and the famous Little Venice Villas.

Totally unexpected sight in London: Right behind Paddington Station, old industrial channels have transformed into a magnificent water recreation landscape.

Embark on the Jubilee Greenway: Regent's Park and Canal Loop, a moderate hiking route that offers a delightful blend of London's urban charm and green spaces. You will follow the historic Regent's Canal, passing by the vibrant Little Venice with its unique moored boats, before entering the expansive Regent's Park. This 5.5-mile (8.8 km) loop involves a gentle 140 feet (43 metres) of elevation gain, making it a comfortable hike that takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete.

Planning your visit is straightforward, as the trail uses established paths suitable for walking. While the route is mostly flat, be aware that some access points to the canal, such as near Warwick Avenue tube station, might not be step-free. The entire Jubilee Greenway is well-marked with distinctive recycled glass pavement slabs, so you can easily navigate your way through the city.

This route is a fantastic way to experience London's unique character, combining picturesque waterways with significant parkland. As you hike through Regent's Park, you will also get glimpses of the famous London Zoo, adding another layer of interest to your journey. It's a perfect choice if you want to explore a mix of natural and urban landmarks within the city.
