Soazza (German obsolete Sowaz or Zauatz) is a municipality in the Moesa region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden
The village was first mentioned in 1203 under the then name Soaza. The community was already independent in 1359, but was ecclesiastically under the Collegiata of San Vittore GR for a long time; In 1626 it still had to pay tithes to them. In 1710 Soazza bought Alp Ingamba in the municipality of Lostallo for 1,000 thalers. From Soazza a path leads over the Forcola[6] to Chiavenna, which used to be very busy and brought traffic.
