Hiking

Leonardo Fibonacci was an important mathematician of the Middle Ages. The Fibonacci sequence is named after him, a sequence of numbers in which each element is formed from the sum of the two previous ones. The first numbers of this series are 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34 ... The lengths of the sides of the cubes of this sculpture correspond to these numbers.
Incidentally, the Fibonacci sequence can also be found in nature, for example in the spiral arrangement of sunflower seeds in sunflowers.
