In sharp contrast to the nearby Langdale Pikes, High Raise is grassy and dome-like. What this Wainwright fell lacks in mountain ruggedness it makes up for in height - at 762m it's the highest point of the Central fells of the Lake District. It's a great place from which to appreciate the Glaramara ridge and Great Gable looks stunning from this angle too.

One of the higher central fells in the Lake District with one of the best views in the country. The trig point at the summit is at 2,500 feet (762 m). There is a cairn and small wall that offers some wind protection, so it's a good place for a break.
