The Gleßbrunnen are five interconnected 5-9 m deep swelling pots, to which the brightly shining water surface gave the name (Gleßbrunnen, in the dialect Gleißbrunnen = glistening, shiny fountains). It is the strongest spring in the Eichstätter area.
