Since 2019, a very beautiful seating area has stood here, on the path up to the Hohenberg, donated by the "Weinfreunde Birkweiler". Many thanks! - It's a nice place to rest, even if the view into the Rhine plain is (nowadays) a bit restricted.

The castle cannot be visited. A look over the fence to the garden is worth it 😉

The road connecting the residential area to the forest parking lot resembled a bumpy gravel track at the time of our visit. Not suitable for every car.

The Kirschbaumhütte is a small shelter located in the heart of the Palatinate Forest, right at a crossroads. A seating area inside invites you to take a short rest during your hike.
