A view of Lake Plau from the jetty on a clear, sunny day. The water is gently rippling, stretching in shades of blue to the horizon. The narrow wooden jetty leads straight into the water, reinforcing the feeling of spaciousness and tranquility. The gentle shorelines and wooded areas can be seen on the horizon. Just take a moment to pause and capture the stunning perspectives.

A small town worth seeing that is very idyllic due to its location on the Elde. It has a beautifully restored historic old town, a castle museum, the historic lift bridge, a port worth seeing and much more to offer. It is definitely worth taking a long stroll through the town.

Steel lift bridge from 1916, 13 m long in the middle of Plau ... a highlight to see how leisure boats are transported

😎The lift bridge in the heart of the town of Plau am See was built in 1916, saved from demolition in 1945 and reconstructed in 1991/92. For leisure boaters who want to go to the lock or to Lake Plau, the bridge is "raised" by about 1.60 m.
