This church is particularly impressive due to its huge ceiling painting, which is drawn as if the sky were moving.

A venerable brick building stands at Alexandrinenplatz 1. Since the late 1990s, it has been home to the Center for Recreation, Education, and Leisure for Youth, or Zebef e.V. for short. Today, Zebef is a multi-generational center offering young and old alternatives for meaningful leisure activities. It was built in 1843 for the newly founded Rector's School and housed the Goethe-Gymnasium until the end of 1996/98. https://www.ludwigslust.de/PDF/Historischer_Stadtrundgang.PDF?ObjSvrID=3634&ObjID=1237&ObjLa=1&Ext=PDF&WTR=1&_ts=1678354855

Even from afar, a single two-story building stands out on the church square. This house, at number 13, formerly housed the institution for the deaf and dumb, established in 1840. Previously, the court chaplain (1785–1795) Dr. Passow and the poet Walter Pegel lived here. Today, this building houses the district music school, which was named after the composer and court musician Johann Matthias Sperger in 2003. Source: http://wikimapia.org/24973507/de/Kirchplatz

From the tower you can easily observe the bird life in the moor. A pair of binoculars is very helpful. There is also a very nice rest area here.

"Rock im Moor" is the motto of the barn. Hopefully bearable for the animal world too 😉
