The huge Alpincenter Hamburg-Wittenburg (formerly Snow Funpark) can be seen from a great distance across the country. Its external size alone is very impressive and I definitely recommend visiting it from the inside when you are there. The winter sports hall, located on the 33.8 hectare site, has a piste area of 30,000 m², the main piste is 330 meters long and 80 meters wide with a height difference of 57 meters. With a gradient of 31% (red piste), it has the steepest descent in a ski hall in Germany. In addition, a halfpipe measuring 13 × 18 × 5 meters is installed inside. There is a 4-seater chairlift, a drag lift and treadmills to transport winter sports enthusiasts. The company premises also include hotels, restaurants, conference rooms and other utility and event areas. Since its construction, the ski hall, which can be seen from the A24 motorway, has shaped the cityscape. Road-bound bike paths, quiet community roads and forest trails provide an ideal environment for smaller and larger bike tours around the Dümmersee. The signs simplify orientation in the community. At the same time, the municipality of Dümmer is located on the national cycling route from Schwerin to Zarrentin in the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve. http://www.duemmer-mv.de/tourismus/tour_start.html

The English Landscape Park/Castle Park The almost 300-year-old country estate includes approximately 4 hectares of parkland. This includes large open spaces, solitary trees (tulip trees, sequoias, oaks, elms, etc.), visual axes, a small river, and two ponds. Large, old trees provide shade and invite you to stroll, play, and relax. Children will find plenty of quiet spaces on the grounds to play. There is hardly any other overnight accommodation for children and young people with a larger area. The park offers space for sports and games, as well as adventure and relaxation, for all ages. https://schloss-dreiluetzow.de/index.php/landschaftspark

One of Mecklenburg's most important knightly families, the "Lützower," come from what is now the small village of Dreilützow. The origins of the village of Dreilützow date back to the Slavic period over 1,000 years ago. The knightly family of the "Lützower" was first mentioned in a document in 1287. At the beginning of the 18th century, the Counts of Bernstorff purchased the land in and around Dreilützow. Around 1720, the present-day castle with its associated outbuildings and the gatehouse was built. At the same time, the Counts of Bernstorff had a Baroque castle garden laid out. The transformation of this Baroque garden into an English landscape park dates back to around 1810. The entire estate was operated as a count's estate until the Great Depression of 1929.
