no great alternatives nearby I’m afraid, busy highway at times with plenty of lorries as well, about half of the segment (in the northeast) with a rideable shoulder, the other half without (so ride farther away from the edge unless you enjoy close passes), pretty flat, at least the asphalt is brand new
