Who is waiting there in the woods? The Sandman! 🪵🌙 This wonderfully carved wooden statue by the wayside is an absolute eye-catcher and a perfect photo opportunity on the Christkind-Runde. Especially when motivation wanes, familiar figures like this immediately reawaken the spirit of discovery in the kids. A wonderful little stopover to catch your breath! (And for us parents, the perfect opportunity to give the winking hint that after this great hike, everyone will definitely sleep well tonight 😉). Geprüft von @wanderfamilie.erzgebirge

The Kreuzquelle was originally an Empire structure (1826) and was replaced by this reinforced concrete structure in 1912. In 1992, the previously open structure was enclosed by glass walls and the atrium was also covered with a dome. Three springs can be tested here: the Kreuz-, Rudolf- and Karolinenquelle: all are CO2-rich, all similarly sour, only slightly different in mineralization.

Sv. Vladimir was built in 1902 and houses an iconostasis (the golden three-door icon wall) that was awarded at the 1900 Paris World Fair. Allegedly the largest porcelain piece in the world. (The cashier is distracted and playing first-person shooter games ...)

The Gloriette of Mayer (Hirschsprung viewpoint) is one of the most beautiful viewpoints around Karlsbad – peacefully located and with a real postcard view. 🌄 From the elegant, small pavilion structure, you have a fantastic view over the old town, which winds picturesquely through the valley. The combination of colorful houses, dense forests, and the gentle hills surrounding it is particularly impressive. 💡 **Tip:** The short detour is especially worthwhile in clear weather or in the evening hours – then Karlsbad shows its most photogenic side. Perfect for a short break with a view! An ideal spot for anyone who wants to crown their tour with a real panorama highlight. ✨

This church, built in the years 1900-1902, replaced the Russian Orthodox prayer room, which had been in the town hall building since 1878. After repeated fundraising, initiated by local doctors and the Russian Orthodox priest Nikolaj N. Pisarewski among Serbian and Russian spa guests, the St. Petersburg architect Prof. Nikolai W. Sultanow (1850–1908) created the building plans. https://www.marianskelazne.cz/de/sehenswertes/die-russisch-orthodoxe-kirche-des-heiligen-wladimir/
