Crosses can be found not only along the way in villages and towns or in nature, as here in a very unusual design as an "arch cross" on the pilgrimage route, but also in literature. Probably the most famous crucifix of this kind can be found in the author Giovanni Guareschi (1908 to 1968). He is the spiritual father of the humorous stories about the two protagonists 'Don Camillo' and 'Peppone'. Guareschi has incorporated another main character into his stories – well-known and popular far beyond the borders of Italy: The crucified Christ, who speaks to Don Camillo from the crucifix of the high altar. The writer himself made the following remark: "So you have to explain: If the priests feel offended by Don Camillo, they can smash a candlestick on my skull for all I care; if the communists are offended by Peppone, they can break a club on my back; but if someone feels offended by the speeches of Christ, there is nothing you can do. Who speaks in my stories ... is my Christ, that is the voice of my conscience. My personal affair, my business. And therefore: everyone for himself and God for all." (G. Guareschi)

Here stands a Long Wall, which was (presumably) legally sprayed. There are many great motifs worth a photo :-).

The road rolls along the Weser River on good asphalt. Further along, you'll come to a Long Wall, which was (presumably) legally sprayed. There are many great motifs worth taking a photo of.

The arched cross deserves its name in two ways: firstly, it consists of two curved metal plates, and secondly, it is located on the old dike arch of the Ochtum. Based on a design by Wolfgang Heißenhuber, it was made of steel in the training workshop at Abeking & Rasmussen.
