As a widow's residence, it's certainly not so bad. But as a place for training, it's certainly more sensible.

Every Eilser citizen probably knows the Bensenplatz on the southern edge of the Harri. But is there more we know about Dr. Bensen than that he was a spa doctor in the princely spa town of Eilsen? Dr. Bensen worked as a spa doctor in Eilsen for a very long time, from 1882 to 1921. He also ran his practice in Bückeburg. This friendly "mental doctor" was very popular in the area and among the spa guests. He occasionally gave the ladies among his Eilser spa guests a rose bush. He supposedly reset the barometer in the morning so that the patients could enjoy its rise. Dr. Bensen always advised his patients to do pleasant, cheerful things, because joy and cheerfulness are the most important things during a spa treatment. In Schaumburg-Lippe he also became known as a local poet in Low German. He only spoke Low German to the local citizens! Dr. In 1894, Bensen wrote a book about Bad Eilsen and its healing springs. He was a friend of Wilhelm Busch from Wiedensahl and vacationed on Borkum with this great poet and painter from our homeland. During the First World War, Dr. Bensen ran a convalescent home for wounded soldiers in Bad Eilsen. Source: https://www.bad-eilsen.info/bad-eilsen/historie-des-ortes/aerzte-und-kurgaeste/
