Nice little fort with a nature campsite. A piece of history completely encapsulated in nature. As a hiker ideal for a short stop for coffee/tea or a soft drink. My BMI says no but also took such a nice cake.

Beautiful but also somewhat alienated piece after steering. Bizarre how those tree stumps stick out above the water.

Beautiful fort where you can partly walk around freely. Part of the fort is used as business space.

For those seeking a longer challenge, consider the Rietplas Houten – View of the Lek loop from Kasteel Ten Goye. This difficult 14.5-mile (23.4 km) route offers extensive views and a more demanding experience.
While many Klompenpaden generally prohibit dogs to protect livestock and wildlife, some do allow dogs on a leash. It's always best to check specific route information beforehand.
