This is not a push moraine, but an authentic wood bank. It was constructed by humans in the late Middle Ages. During the reclamation of the 'wastelands', the bank served to protect the arable land against drifting sand from the Soester Duinen. That drifting sand was deposited during the last ice age, the Weichselian, against the flanks of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The Utrechtse Heuvelrug itself is a push moraine that originated about 150,000 years ago due to ice pushing during the Saalian. On the west side of the wood bank, there is an information board on which its origin story can be read.

This spot has the best view point on the 'Korte Duinen' (short dunes) accessible by bike! Certainly continue with the path leading North of the intersection here!
