Fairly large but otherwise undistinguished parish church.

Just after Wiggenhall St Mary Magdalen, you will find some spectacular views while crossing the drains leading to the River Ouse. A very special feature of the village is a tidal bore or wave which can form on the River Great Ouse near the village. Dependent on particular lunar and tidal conditions. Free swimmers, canoers and spectators will often be drawn to experience the spectacle.

Despite the name there’s no gravel at all, it’s all tarmac.

Very nice cafe/deli open 7 days a week but be aware that the cafe closes earlier than the farm shop - 3.30pm each day.

In over 100km through the fens this road bridge over the A47 was the biggest incline I encountered. Take what you can get!
