Tips from the Community

A charming small church, although to view its front, you'll need to return to the main road. During construction in 1995, evidence of an earlier church dating back to the late Saxon or Saxo-Norman era was uncovered.

The woodland offers a network of pathways, including some extended routes, under the care of the Hawkwell Parish Council. This nature reserve once served as a brickworks, with the memorial standing at the entrance, and remnants of this industry are still visible. The picturesque circular trail guides you along with adjacent tracks and fields. Be sure to watch for the wealth of local wildlife, particularly the songbirds.

This is a Strava Segment of the same name. Narrow, fast with some tight trees to dodge. Just be careful of walkers up and down the trail and the barbed wire fence which gets very close to your elbows at some points.
