The Dobratsch or Villacher Alpe (Slovenian Dobrač or Beljaščica) is a mountain at 2166 m above sea level. A. high mountain range in Carinthia. It forms the eastern foothills of the Gailtal Alps and is located immediately west of the city of Villach. The Dobratsch area has been protected as a nature park since 2002. As a model region for sustainable development, a four-pillar model with the topics of protection, education, recreation and regional development has been relied upon right from the start. At the end of 2021, the topic of research will be added as a fifth pillar for the further development of Nature Park Z. The Dobratsch Nature Park covers an area of around 8,200 hectares.
