November 21, 2023, Lincoln Cathedral and Alfred Lord Tennyson Statue

Great views of the 'back' of Lincoln Cathedral, one of the finest in the country. There is also a statue in the grounds of Alfred Lord Tennyson, the British Poet Laureate, who was born not far from the Lincoln. Definitely worth while to explore every angle of the Cathedral and the grounds.

Lincoln is an inspiring city, rich in history. From the iconic Cathedral first built in 1072, and recognised as one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in all of Europe, to the Castle, to the cobblestone streets of Steep Hill, there is something here for everyone.

It just looks like a stone till you notice the plaque that for some reason faces the road and not the pedestrian - read the plaque when there for the history.
