On the banks of the Wutach in Lauchringen, I ride very close to the water, enjoying the quiet, green surroundings. The section feels pleasantly connected to nature and invites you to slow down for a moment – a beautiful moment right on the Wutach.

A beautiful architectural solution. A wooden bridge not just for crossing, but also a feast for the eyes.

An old waterwheel that probably once powered a mill. Unfortunately, it only runs occasionally these days, when there's plenty of water.

Like all the other villages along this Swiss National Cycling Route. Rafz goes more than the extra step necessary to keep cyclists hydrated with having more than 7 beautiful well decorated fountains. The village is out of a picture book with all of its well-kept halb-timbered houses and its many small restaurants.

A truly mystical place, especially in autumn and/or during the foggy season with ruins up to eight meters high.

From the large parking lot toward the Chly Rhy Auen nature reserve, the path is a good, stable dirt road, making it easy to ride, so encounters aren't a problem. It's only from the parking lot toward Koblenz that it narrows and becomes more challenging for bikers. A beautiful route that's fun in any season.
