Wigan Top Lock is no. 65 on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal system. If you are cycling to Wigan in the southwest and like locks, then there are another twenty locks for you to look at in the next 2 miles (3.2 km), as the canal drops 200 feet (61 m) between here and Wigan. This is a super beautiful area to cycle in with all the locks and canal boats.
