An idyllic resting spot right next to the wild meadows. Unfortunately, it's not covered, but in good weather, it's definitely worth a visit and a short break.

A climate measuring station was established here in 1977. Data was read, recorded, and interpreted three times a day. This data formed the basis for the highly acclaimed brochure "Birdwatching in the Nature Reserves of the Municipality of Wildeck," published by Jürgen Meinen. After the theft of the important sunshine recorder in 2000, but also for personal reasons, the work was temporarily suspended. It only resumed after the Blumenstein School Obersuhl (BSO) became involved. After rebuilding the measuring station, the BSO has continued this important work for several years now with changing working groups.

Unfortunately, the horses weren't out in the pasture during our tour, but the area is still impressive.
