July 12, 2026, Staithe Street Shopping and Café Street

The narrow Staith Street is the main shopping street of Wells. Many small shops cater to (not only) tourist needs, plus tons of places to eat and drink. The shops are usually open from 10 am to 4 pm. After that, it gets very quiet here!

Beautiful traffic-free cycling in Holkham Park - could easily spend a few hours or more pootling round and stopping to enjoy a picnic

Hugely popular upmarket gastro-pub. There are some tables out the front if you want a pub lunch that's a cut above the usual.
