Small 19th-century chapel along a quiet road in Heikruis, surrounded by old linden trees. A peaceful roadside shrine in typical Pajottenland farmland.

According to some sources, the origins of the chapel date back to the 11th century and other sources place its foundation in 1626 when the lord of the nearby Ter Rijst castle had a private chapel built there. The current chapel with tower portal was rebuilt in the years after 1691 by Jean-Herman Voëller. In the mid-19th century it was restored in neo-Gothic style. The Ter Linden Chapel, including the lime trees and the adjacent cobblestone paving, has been protected as a monument since April 30, 2004 because of its historical value.

In the park you have the opportunity to have a drink or nibble at T-Rest. Park offers a nice variety between maintained trails and a rougher forest environment. The ponds top it off.
