Imde is a quiet rural village with Saint Quintinus as its patron saint. In 1145 it was mentioned as Immechia. On the Ferraris map from the 1770s, the place is shown as Ympden. At the end of the 20th century, the municipality of Meise switched from the spelling "Impde" to the new spelling "Imde". Sights include the Castle of Imde and the Boskapel Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Behoudenis der Kranken, among others.

A special feature of this church is the entrance to the prayer house. Here, the architectural design beautifully blends the past and present.

Diepensteyn Castle was rebuilt on the foundations of the former Steenhuffelse count's castle and was once part of the military network of the Duke of Brabant. It is therefore very strongly connected to Brabant's identity and tradition. After the French Revolution, Diepensteyn was no longer inhabited and fell into serious disrepair. Since 1989, it has been owned by the Palm brewery and reconstruction quickly began as a contribution to the historical heritage of its municipality Steenhuffel. Diepensteyn Castle is located in a beautiful domain amidst extensive ponds. The impressive inner courtyard houses the coach house and the stud farm where the Brabant draft horse, the signboard of the Palm brewery, found shelter. (Along Castles and Castles)
